Whether in German or in English, at home or abroad, ever since studying International Relations, I have been fascinated by global issues and the impact they have on local levels, or conversely, the impact local issues have globally. Cause and effect are often unclear, which is why an ability to see the broader picture is key.
Over the years, I have spent frequent periods abroad – while studying, training and working as a reporter, producer and moderator. Business and educational subjects, future-oriented developments and the activities of international companies and organisations are the focus of my interest.
Today, I moderate first and foremost international conferences and congresses on important issues such as human rights and forced labour, education and development aid as well as the internet and new media. Annual events in my diary include the European Development Days, the Bonn Symposium and the Deutsche Welle Global Media Forum.
